I took a HDD from a PC that is running windows 10 and plugged it into my other PC which is also already running W10 on a SSD. I was able to make a folder in the HDD to move files to it. Then I took the HDD back but when I booted it back up, the folder/files I stored in it wasn't there but the storage space definitely went down.
I made a folder named "temp" in the storage base (where you find Program Files, Program Files (x86), Windows, Users, etc.
