I use primarily Photoshop CS6 and play Rainbow Siege. I built my computer back last Cyber Monday in Nov/Dec.

I am not going to say if your build is good or not. I am just going to say if I can start over, I would:

1) Replace the Intel i7 6700 non k ($404 CAD) with Xeon E3-1231V3 ($340 CAD)

People are going to say "hey don't you think Skylake is more future proof...". I would say I would rather save up the money for the upcoming Canon 6D Mark II or to get a Nikon 810. Moreover, you are getting pretty much the same performance.

And I have...

Admirable
It is a pretty good build
BUT
Since you have a non k processor, save a load of money and get a ASUS or gigabyte H170 or even H110 motherboard. Your CPU will run at exactly the same speed.
Buy a cheaper case,
Put all your data on a 3Tb HDD
Now you have saved enough money to buy a GTX970, or maybe even a 1070 if you are prepared to wait - big improvement for gaming.

And I have doubt if your video editing programs can take full advantage of the new Skylake CPU.

2) Pair with the ASRock H97M Pro4 ($84.99 CAD after $25.00 rebate), instead of the GA-Z170M-D3H mobo ($163 CAD)

Now since you've saved $60 from CPU and $60 from mobo, I would suggest:

3) Getting a WD Black for your portfolio and a Seagate for new shots (extra $40)

WD vs Seagate has been debated to dead in the photography community. I just get one of each. One for work-in-progress, One for my portfolio.

4) GTX 960 4Gb is not a flop. But I would get the GTX 970 instead (extra $110).

Again GTX 960 4Gb vs 970 4Gb vs the upcoming 1070 has been debated to dead.

With all these shell shocker sale on the 970 Gb, I still think it has the best value for money if you can get one for $50 off plus another $20 rebate.

5) If you decide not to do 3) and 4), you can put the $120 back into video production/camera/equipment.

If you want to stick with Skylake then this is another option.

But everything in a sole 3Tb Seagate is a big No for video production. Usually photographers/videographers go with dual WD Black 2Tb or dual WD Caviar Black 3Tb.
