Here's my build link: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Wxr2Q7
How's this look for gaming? I also want to do some VR stuff and play games like Doom , Fallout 4, and GTA V. How well will I be able to run these??

It comes down to the features you need. Since the 6600 can't be overclocked on either of those boards, you need to decide if the SLI support, faster RAM support, RAID, etc. on the Z170 board are worth the difference. What GPU are you going to use?

Admirable
That CPU will run at exactly the same stock speed on any socket 1151 motherboard.
So will the memory and the graphics card.
So buy the cheapest motherboard that you can.
Only spend more money if you need 5 hdd, or large amounts of memory, or want to fit two graphics cards. Most people don't do any of these things.
Stick to a good manufacturer like Gigabyte or Asus, and you will be fine. My motherboard cost $60
