So I am about to upgrade my processor in my pc but I can't decide what processor to go for.....
I have a gtx 970 currently and Im deciding to go with either a i5 6600k or i7 6700k but I can't really afford the 6700k at the moment. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/fnvznQ Is the build that I have made, I can spend about 700 candian max. I don't really want to go AMD because I'm not happy with my fx-8350, also for the list I have all the parts that are not included in the link. Also eventually I think I am going to buy a gtx 1080 so if you think my fx-8350 will work fine with the 1080 fell free to let me know!

The Z170-P will work, but at this point I think I'd stick withwhat you have so when the GPUs come ou, hopefully you'll have some more moneyand can get better components, plus with the reease of the new GPUs, some re/e-tailers miht offer some good combo deals where you can save some money and get better components ovall

Thanks for responding :D So from what I've read the 6700k has a very minimal performance gain over the 6600k, also what is the difference between a $150 and a $350?

Also is the 5820k or the 4790k worth looking into?

The 6700K would be nice, but the 6600K is the better gamer and will be for hte next year or two anyway. I would try for a better mobo that OCs well and faster DRAM, games more and more are utilizing DRAM better and the speed is starting to show in performance and FPS, Fallout 4 is a good example and a trend that will probably continue
