Should my friend upgrade his gpu?

He has 1440p monitor and he's currently using gtx 650 oc version with amd fx 6300. He said he only plays LOL and CSGO so he didn't see a point in upgrading his gpu.

And he's right. LOL and CSGO don't need a new video card even at 1440, especially if there are no issues with playing them. If he was getting 30 FPS or something, yes good to upgrade, if he is getting 60 or more FPS, not worth it.

He has too much money. He can afford a gtx 1070 but he's afraid that it would be a waste of money as it may not affect his experience since he's not really a gamer.
