I was in the market for software that is no longer retailed. I saw all the various dvds offered by sellers on ebay. All of them promise to have working keys and such. Are they reliable and how do they get all these keys? They advertise them being genuine and they ARE on ebay still so I would presume they have some legitimacy. Anyone with experience?

A general rule is if it seems too good to be true it most likely is.

Many users sell copies of Windows 7 for instance from old office systems. These OEM copies/keys are not for re-sale.

They may work, but they are against the OEM terms of use for Windows 7 OEM(OEM stays with the same system's motherboard forever. Changing the board is a new system and needs a new license key).

Look closely at their feedback. It it 100%? No negatives? Are they a top rated seller? If not, think twice before buying.

Anyone can write an ad and say anything.

What software is this?
Have an ebay link for it?
