Okay so I do a lot of modern builds but have wanted to get into trying builds using some older parts and seeing how they run. I just found a deal for a dell optiplex motherboard with an i5 650 for $40 and am looking at pulling the trigger on that. Problem is since these parts were before my time of interest in computers I was wondering what would be a good mid to low end old school graphics card that would go with this board. Thanks for any help and any suggestions are welcome.

You do realise that dell 980's are BTX form factor and will not go into an ATX case whatsoever? Pci slots are opposite of a normal board, even the 24 pin power does not fit standard atx 24 pin, it has a mini 24 pin plug
They really only fit the case they originally came in
