Can I unlock the amd athlon II x3 455 fourth core in my motherboard?

jump into the bios and see if there is a core unlocker feature. Understand some chips 4th core is damaged, so not all chips can be unlocked.

So if it is damaged, it won't have an option to unlock it?

If the core is damaged SOMETIMES it simply won't unlock. other times it will unlock but your system will get unstable, blue screening and the like. If the cpu is fine, and the core is unlocked you'll probably need to increase the vcore on the chip anyway to stabilize the chip.
