So I was doing my first build and it seems I have a faulty motherboard even though I bought it brand new. I even spoke with MSI representative and told me the same. I opened a warranty claim and found out that they willd be sending me a certified refurbished replacement which I'm kind of skeptical about. So my question is, would it be safe to stick with the refurbished one or should I buy a brand new one? Have any of you guys dealt with certified replacements? If so, how did it turn out? I would prefer not spend any more money on it but if I'll have troubles later on I rather be safe than sorry. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Solution
If it wasn't your fault they should send you a brand new MB, net refurbished one !!!
But...... refurbished one may be good enough because it had to be tested even more than brand new one.

@CountMike, I was wondering that myself but I guess that's just their policy. As far as the refurbished mobo, I figured as much as far as the testing, I just wanted to hear from people and their experience with one. Just trying to be cautious. Thank you for your response

Check laws in your neck of woods because no company policy could be enforced if against the law. In my country if part is DOA or dies in first 6 month has to be replaced by new one with warranty starting anew.
I did have some luck with few refurbished and used parts, I always look for them first because any savings can be translated to buying better product.
