Hi There,

First time poster / register long time reader.

Recently have sold my Xbox one in favor of starting to use my PC for gaming. I am a hardcore gamer so I know i am going to have cost along the way to upgrade my PC to spec i'm happy with but not sure in which order i should do things.

I want to upgrade my graphics card to the new GTX1070 when its released in a few weeks.... Just wondering if my 930 would have enough power to run it or i should upgrade CPU first? Have been thinking of upgrading to a larger water cooling unit and try and achieve 4.0 ghz.

Any advice on which way to go would be highly appreciated.

PC SPECS -
I7 930 Overclocked to 3.5
Corsair H60 cooler
16GB Corsair Ram
512gb SSD and 1TB Seagate
GTX-760

I'd upgrade the gpu first. Even if the cpu is a bit limiting it won't hold you back as much as that 760 you're currently using. If you upgrade the cpu first you'll need a new cpu, motherboard and possibly ram (ddr4 for skylake). After all that, assuming it's around $350 give or take of upgrades plus a windows reinstall you'll still be gaming on a 760.

Id say upgrade your processor dude, yes its a decent cpu but its fairly old. The technology is old. I would strongly reccomend you get atleast the new I5 Skylake CPU or if you wanna go all out get the i7. Yes you will have to buy a new motherboard and RAM but your gonna be using top of the line equipment which means your not gonna have to upgrade those parts for a long time. The 760 is still a decent GPU and its only a few years old. The processor is going on 7 years old. Gaming does depend on graphics cards more often but its time to upgrade your oldest hardware first. You getting a GTX 1070 would be pointless cause your process would just hold it back. So your money is best spend with a new mobo/cpu/ram

You can get an Intel Core i5 6600k sided with a 212 Evo
An MSI Z170
16 GB DDR4 2400mhz

You can get that for 400 bucks and be up to date on all your hardware :)
