Hi, I want to overclock my new-build pc. It has a intel core i5 6600k with a Corsair H100i cooler in it. I am wondering how much I can overclock before I run into issues. This would include multiplier (I don't intend to change the base clock) and increased voltage (if nessisary). If you need more information I have all the parts here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/j9zznQ. Thank you for your time.

Hey ,
Most of the i5 6600k chips I've played with seem to top out stable at around 4.4 Ghz on air . As you have a water cooler you could go a bit further . :D . Occasionally , you get a very good chip that co's very well .

By chip do you mean the processor or chip set. The motherboard I chose is built to overclock, and the processor itself is unlocked overclocking.

The main question: Is it a faulty chip that makes it un-overclockable?
