GTX 1080 : Go for 1080p or 1440p?

Like the title said. I would really like to max all the settings out, including AA,expecting good framerate.

That card is for 1440p or 4k gaming. Obviously you will get better fps and higher settings on 1440p.

If I was to buy a new monitor now with a high card go for 1440p over 1080p. You'll get more fps running 1080p but 1440p is usually going to look better and the 1080 can achieve some good FPS at 1440p according to the review.

You may be able to play at near max settings, with moderate AA and get good settings in pretty much all games, but there will always be games which require you to turn down settings. Maxing AA is almost never possible with demanding games, unless the game simply doesn't support high end AA.
