Hello Tom's Hardware community. I won't be long ont his post. The question that I put on the topic is pretty straight forward: which operating system should I pick?
I'll be doing mostly gaming.

CPU: AMD FX-6300
MOBO: Msi 970A-G43 PLUS
GPU: Asus R7 360 V2 OC 2GB GDDR5
RAM: Kingston DDR3 HyperX FURY White 2x4GB 1600MHz Cas10
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 64MB SATAIII (6GB/S) - EZEX
PSU: Seasonic S12II 520W 80+ Bronze Certified
CASE: BitFenix Nova - Black Window
DRIVER: LG DVD+/-Rw 24x DLayer Sata Black Bulk
CASE FANS: 2x Cooler Master SickleFlow 120MM Blue
MONITOR: Asus LED VS197DE 5ms

Now what I wanted was Windows 7 but from what I see, the motherboard I've chosen benefits from a greater compatibility with Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Now, I really dislike Windows 10 and I'm unfamiliar with the 8 and 8.1. What do you think guys? Windows 7 is my favourite but I wouldn't mind using the 8 or 8.1 if I'll benefit from a great compatibility and performance on those. I'd like to hear your thoughts over this, thanks in advance!

I use it on PC's and my Surface, once used to it I now prefer it. People whinge and whine about the level of information passed back to Microsoft but I really think its blown out of all...
If you want DX12 and better security, you need Windows 10. Driver support has already ended for Win 7 and will end for Win 8 in 2018. Probably not what you want the hear. If you wait to make the switch to Windows 10 at a later date, you will have to pay for it rather than the free upgrade. The things most people don't like about it (spying and forced driver updates) can be easily disabled.

The reason I dislike Windows 10 is because I've been reading negative comments about it and anyone I know who has it also says bad things about it. :(

Ok so I can install Windows 7 and then just upgrade to Windows 10 easily?
