Please, someone help!? I've been working on my rig for weeks. I ran into a problem a few weeks back. I BELIEVE it was a rogue extension in chrome, SEARCH-ENGAGE. It was destroying my internet connection..nothing would load. so i finally gave up, and formatted and gave it a fresh install of windows. the first time as soon as i started loading up my programs...it froze up on me. i restarted, My asus MOBO logo came up, then the windows loading screen, then black screen. The monitor searches for a signal and then goes into sleep mode. So, i formatted again, and installed windows again. let it sit for a lil while and everything seemed to be okay. I installed my wifi adapters drivers. and began to DL antivirus and google chrome, ya know, basics. only for it to happen AGAIN. i have done this 6-7 times, all with the same end result. Its happened with ALL different programs being DLed and installed...ive tried to narrow down the culprit..but it doesnt seem to be the same program causing it. i dont know what to do..its never done this before i wiped it...help? Are there dump files for this kind of freeze? i've installed windows in SSD and HDD...both the same result.....

CPU: Intel I5-6600k

Solution
Since MS forget to include a Safe Mode menu in Windows 8, press the Windows key and R together then into the run box type
msconfig
and hit Enter.

Unde the BOOT.INI tab, tick the /SAFEBOOT box, click Apply and OK your way out. See how it behaves in Safe Mode.
