They are both unlocked CPUs...you could get the 4770K to 4.4GHz like the 4790K. I wouldn't bother since they're based on the same architecture...the performance difference between the two is within margin of error, gaming-wise and multimedia-wise too. I'd spend the money on something else...depending on what you usually do on your computer, you could take care of a bottleneck elsewhere other than the CPU. If your CPU is holding you down (in video rendering situations it nearly always is the case), then you may have to switch to 2011 or 1151, and change the entire platform basically (mobo, CPU, DDR4)

This is my current build tho the PSU is not correct im using a Cooler master B700 B-series also im getting a gtx 1080 when it comes out ;) Also I don't do video rendering
