I have built a new pc (first timer!!!) and I think I have done everything correct. Everytime I try to load the operating system I am getting the error message. I have tried all soloutions I have been able to find, checking the power the sata point, the boot priority in the bios (1. cd/dvd, 2, HDD, 3, Usb) I have changed the ports to ACHI and I am still getting the same message. I havent loaded any drivers on as I didnt know when to do this

please help, I have an unhappy 14 yr old waiting for his pc

You have cd/dvd as first boot, HDD second. I am guessing you have windows on dvd , that's why you are booting there first?
The dvd is not reading the disk, so skips to the next boot device, finds nothing on it and gives disk...

The dvd is not reading the disk, so skips to the next boot device, finds nothing on it and gives disk boot failure. So the problem is either the dvd disk is damaged, unbootable or the dvd drive itself is bad or connections wrong etc. could make a bootable image on the usb of windows and boot from that first to install
