would there be any problem with that? since i might get the gtx 1080 founders edition what i heard is its cooler just blows the air out, so for more air circulation would that work?

Solution
Most already come with vents cut into them, and even then removing them won't make a huge difference and may allow more dust to enter the case. And that blower card from my understanding just takes air in from the fan you can see on it's side and blows it out the rear pci-slot vent. So therefore I can't imagine removing other pci-slot covers would make a huge difference.

you know where you screw in the gpu to keep it in place. i have 3 more of those slots that i dont use which are for sli use. they are covered with a metal plate, which i think removing them might increase airflow.
