I just bought a A8-7600, and to my liking i paired it with a GT 730 1gb without even referring to a friend or someone who knows better, I just wanna know it i did the right decision when purchasing this i wanted a budget rig that can play games @med settings or even higher settings.

my specs:

A8 7600
A68hm-k mobo
gt 730 1gb ddr5
16gb ram 2133mhz
700watts psu

i tested my new specs with my old game World of tanks and was surprised to play the game on high settings @1080p with 35-38 max fps and minimum is 28-30, before i get 25-30 fps with my old dual core cpu with GT 730. So does the game states that it is a CPU intensive game? because when i switch to a quad it made the game even more playable or there a little bottlenecking happening with the dual core?

WOT runs mainly on 2 threads, depending on which core2 you had the newer a8 will have faster cores so you get more fps.
Getting an APU and pairing it with a low discrete is generally a bad idea since you paied for the integrated graphics but not using them.

I took the risk of buying the A8 7600 for processor boost from dual core to quad core, and i know Athlon x4 versions are much better in terms of budget Quads but the main reason was availability i live in asia and the availability of the products are minimal, i know its stupid to pair a APU with a discrete GPU since APU's have a GPU in it. but i dont have much of an option though.
