I recently had my laptop's hard drive suddenly begin to fail on me. It started clicking and making all sorts of noises and made booting up windows impossible. I ended up removing it from the laptop and connecting it to my desktop but it is now marked as "Unallocated" in disk management.
Since I do not want to format the drive and lose all of my data I wanted to know if their was a way of either accessing whatever good data remains on the disk or, preferably, creating a full image backup of it so I could transfer it to a new hard drive
I am currently running the free version of MiniTool Partition Recovery Wizard in the hopes that it will be able to make the the drive accessible but it'll take a while before it finishes and their is not telling whether it will be successful or not
