So I have a failing hard drive I still wanted to kind of use as a large file easy to replace storage. The system has a working SSD in it with a fresh install of windows on it. I've read you can set something up in the bios to bypass this type of test it does with the right settings but I'm not sure what to do. The drive can still be docked and written to but I just don't want a dock or something like that hooked up to my other computer at all times. It's a WD RED out of warranty drive. Not interested in getting a replacement. Just trying to see if there is a way to bypass the whole boot thing so I can use the drive as extra storage.
