so i decided to buy the 850 pro. when i install windows on it, will it automatically set the windows boot manager in the ssd to boot option #1 in the bios? or do i have to manually set it?
You have to specify yourself within the BIOS settings that you want that drive to be the first boot option (you do this after connecting the SSD to the SATA port of course).
so if i set the sata port 0 to the ssd, will it set it to boot option 1?
It doesn't really matter what physical port you use, you set the boot option priority in the BIOS settings.

the best thing to do is disconnect all your HDD and just have the SSD connected while installing windows. after the install if finished connect your other HDD. if you use a DVD to install you can have that and the SSD connected
