I purchased an ASRock X99M Extreme4 and two Gigabyte GTX 980Ti 6GB Xtreme Gaming OC Edition thinking I'd build a powerful SLI VR machine. The two Video cards don't fit in the 16x slot 1 and slot 2 even though the cards are shown as compatible. the cards model number is: GV-N98TXTREME-6GD. Asrock Model is in the the subject. I'm building this machine for my living room, specifically for the HTC Vive headset I just received. I know its overkill, but I had some extra cash and a couple gift cards burning holes in my pockets. The Asrock motherboard is sitting inside a Thermaltake core v21 micro atx case. If you have some recommendations, I'd love to hear them. Other MicroATX board I should get? Asus? Gigabyte? these two cards def won't fit 2 way SLI on this current Asrock board.
