seagate not showing up on my mac, i have 35000 pics on it and I'm in panic mode please help

can not locate seagate on my mac, I have 35,000 pics on it and use it as a monthly back up as well. the power is on but none of the bars are lit, please please can someone help me?

Did the HDD work on other system?

Open up Disk Utility (Applications->Utilities->Disk Utility) and see if the drive is showing in there.

Check Partition sector or format sector status using disk utilities...

if any of this does not work.. then the drive has failed... might require expert help.

Hello Kiaan,

i opened the disk utility and it appears there but i can not open or locate it anywhere else, also this is the first time that
it showed back up on the disk utility it had not been there, Im so confused!!!!
