Just like the title,
I build this PC this year and I make my Crucial MX200 250GB 2.5" SSD my OS drive. But, later I realized that I don't have enough storage for my games, so I decided to buy a MX200 250GB M.2 2280 SSD which I really like Crucial's SSD as you can see. I mounted my M.2 SSD on to my Z170 Pro-Gaming Motherboard without any problems, but my computer can not detect my OS drive and I am stuck in BIOS. I uninstall the M.2 SSD and everything is fine again.

Any suggestions?

Solution
Some motherboards disable some of the SATA ports when an M.2 card is installed. Looking up your board on newegg I found this:

"* When the M.2 Socket 3 is operating in SATA mode, SATA port 1 will be disabled"

So, make sure your SSD isn't plugged into one of the ports that gets disabled with M.2.
