Hi friends I am seeking a future proof graphics card and now am having this rig :
I7 4790k @4 ghz
GTX 970 amp omega edition
16 gb ram with an 900p monitor
So I am a graphics lover always willing to play every title at maxed out . And now internet is getting hot with upcoming GTX 1080 & 1070.
I want to play upcoming games at max settings . Should I get a 1080 or 1070 or just stick to 970 for this year.
Please give your suggestion . And help me to figure this out

If you are gaming at 1080p on a 60hz monitor, you might want to consider the GTX 1070 if you're wanting to play with everything at max and use high texture mods and such. The 970 is almost arleady the top value card for 1080p, but with the new one coming out, if you are picking between the 1070 and the 1080, the 1080 is a bit overkill and much more expensive. However if you are going for 1440p maxed or 4k mixed, a 1080 would be the better option.

If your playing at 900p resolution your current 970 will be future proof enough. If your looking to upgrade your monitor in the future and as you said max out every game that comes out the 1070 would be a good option to go with if you want to play at 1080p - 1440p resolution. The 1080 is more of a card for people looking to run the latest titles maxed out at 4K.

1070 is a good option to go with with its price aswell,
