Now my question is, my current motherboard is a Gigabyte EX58-UD3R with a core i7 920 2.66ghz intel cpu and ddr 3 patriot memory Gseries PC#-12800 1600mhz. Which hardware upgrade will provide the best increase to the system's running? I have a normal HDD too

Solution
Buy an SSD.

Drawback: Thereafter, you won't touch a normal HDD again. ;-)

Your board and CPU will be ok-ish for that card - i ran a i7-2600S (2.8 GHz) with that card, and it was fine, so i imagine yours will not be significantly worse. You should have 8GB of memory, and a 64-bit operating system, but i assume, you have that.
