Which cpu should I use for gaming

Solution
Best value for money is
an Intel i5 6500
a H110 motherboard - Gigabyte or ASUS
8Gb RAM (better still, 16GB if you can afford it)
a GTX 950
Seasonic 520W power supply
Samsung Evo 850 250Gb SSD
1Tb HDD

You can buy cheaper, but you will get a lot less performance for a bit less money, or a PC that is not worth upgrading, or both.
A cheaper machine may well be OK for your tasks now, but in a couple of years or less a cheaper machine will start to struggle, whereas the above build should be good for 5-10 years if you occasionally upgrade the GPU .

The rig I quoted above will cost you approx $800.

Suggest you get a slightly more expensive i5 6600 instead, but otherwise leave my build as it is.

Keep the extra money, and use it for an upgraded GPU when you need one in a few years time
