i don't know for sure what is causing this. i'm suspecting this has something to do with the onboard graphics and the intergrated graphics conflicting with one another. i've updated both of the graphics cards but i'm still having this problem.
my specs:
intel core i7 6700hq
nvidia geforce gtx 960m 4gb
8 gb ddr4 2133 ram
1tb 7200 rpm hard drive
1920x1080p screen
