My Gaming PC Keeps Crashing During Games

My gaming pc keeps crashing during games and I don't know why. To give you an example I played Dirty Bomb on minimal settings and I couldn't get through the whole round without it crashing. When it crashes the screen just freezes, everything keeps running in the pc though; the fans keeps spinning and the case lights stay on but the screen freezes and I can't alt + tab or open task manager.

Specs:
AMD FX - 9370 8 core processor

16gbs of Ram

Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 Graphics Card

Operating System is Windows 7 Ultimate 6-bit

Fans: 2 Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm one at the top of the case being used as an exhaust fan and another at the front being used for intake. I also have a liquid cooling fan in the back being used as an exhaust.

I'm not really sure what to put for my motherboard but it's a Gigabyte motherboard if that helps.

Another thing I should add is that my room is usually very hot during the day, I don't know exactly how hot, but right now the A/C is broken and I would say that it's a good 80 - 90F in my room.

Please help me fix this problem

I just went to my event viewer and found this error message which i believe happened at the time of the crash

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

Solution
The GPU is fine, PCIe 2.0 will work well with it.
Your options would be to get an 8370 (or less) or upgrade your motherboard and get a nice liquid cooler. To get parts compatible with the 9000 series would probably be around $400.

With the 9000 series CPU, you really need to be careful. You need to make sure your motherboard can support a 220 Watt CPU. Most will NOT. Additionally, you need to make sure you have VERY good liquid cooling. Not just any will do.
Your BIOS will have your motherboard model number in it, that will be useful here. Also, which liquid cooler exactly do you have?
Those errors are CPU overload/overheat related.

Motherboard: GA-970A-D3P

Liquid Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler

That cooler is insufficient for your processor. Even most dual radiator models can't cut it, that thing puts out huge amounts of heat. That's why it's one of the highest TDP processor AMD has released in recent history, rated at 220 watts.
The cooler you have would be sufficient for an 8300, not a 9000 series. Monitor your temps in game and you'll see it spike very quickly.

But the thing is even easy to run games will crash, like dirty bomb on minimal settings. But yea you are right i do see the temps spike. Also is my motherboard also a problem.

So what i should do is an FX 8370 of below, right? Also is my graphics card compatible with my motherboard because I think it is, but now that i know my cpu isn't im not too sure.

Hi, I got a new motherboard but I wanted to know what cooling system you recommend, because I want to make sure I buy the right cooling system. Thank you.

I got a GA-990FXA-UD3 R5.

I believe my case can fit a dual-fan cooler and I am glad to see that you think that cooler with be sufficient because I thought it was going to cost me around $400.
