Hello.
I just finished building my first PC, and now i ran into some problems when trying to boot and install windows 8.1.

Hardware:
Asus Z170-A
Intel 6700K i7
16GB (2x8) Corsair Vengeance ram
Kingston 240GB SSD

- The motherboard was a DEMO model.

At first boot i got a screen telling me that there was a new CPU detected and that i should press F1 to enter SETUP.
I did that, and got into the ASUS UEFI BIOS.
Here i saw that all the hardware was reconciled.

I tried plugging in my USB boot device, but it didn't show in the order list.
After trying loads of stuff i tried to reset the CMOS by shorting the 2 pins as referenced in the user manual.

After this on next boot i got a Blue and Gray box telling me to enter a password.
After som more google-ing i decided to pull out the Button cell battery To reset the CMOS completely.

And this is where i am at now.

On boot i first see the ASUS logo, and a text Saying "Press F1 or DELETE to enter UEFI BIOS".
No matter what i press nothing happens.
After a short wile i get another screen wit an "American Megatrends" Logo.

This screen states the hardware correctly.
After that it says:

"
Please enter setup to recover BIOS settings.
When RAID configuration was built, ensure to set SATA Configuration to RAIS mode.
Press F1 to Run SETUP.
"

After i press F1 i am just stuck at a black screen forever (have been running for hours)

Image of the screen: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mrt2qkx6o2vyzbn/IMG_9114.JPG?dl=0

Also the BOOT_DEVICE_LED stays solid red on the Motherboard.

I hope someone can help me here :)

Good to know it is normal that far. But when i press F1 i just get never ending black screen.
I have left it on that screen for hours, and nothing happens.

Any suggestions?

You can try to reflash the bios by using the USB flashback feature.
