Hello there!
I was wondering if any Nvidia gtx 970 is compatible with ASRock G41M-S3 enquiped with Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 3GHz.
I tried a gpu from AMD and it didn't work, the pc refused to beeb and boot but after removing the gpu it was working fine, so i either consider the GPU was busted (the gpu was in bad shape anyway) or the socket is dead. Im going to try to use a GPU that is surely working to check it.
Yet id like to know if nvidia 970 gpus are compatible with this motherboard because i was thinking on buying one considering that im lacking a decent gpu for now.
It doesn't matter which model is gpu as long as it is from the 970 series.
Thanks for your time!

It never ocurred to you that the PSU wattage, or amps on the +12v rail may not have been enough?

No, not at all. I have two 600 modualr PSUs, one of them dedicated to the GPU and both of them working. Most propably the AMD is busted (hopefully not the motherboard). Yet any idea about the compatibility of any gtx970 with that motherboard?
