my machine is running 8.1 and had a certain name assigned to the machine (let's call it bob-smith). i had the machine set up to automatically log me in to my MS account (let's call it fake@live.com for example), and that was great.
then i changed the computer name (from bob-smith to smith, for example), keeping all else the same. windows says i have to reboot. fine. but when i reboot, it dumps me into a login screen that's not even typical - it gives me options on HOW to log in (domain or local account or MS account) along with two key icons. never seen that before.
so, ok, i can log in using the MS account, and be in. but why!?!? and after each reboot, i am forced to go through the same login procedure now - select how i want to log in, and enter my password.
netplwiz settings don't seem to help or even have much to do with this.
i just want to be able to reboot and be automatically logged in like before.
