A PCI-E interface is theoretically 'faster', but as relates to gaming, you'd never notice.

In game, absolutely not. Loading times might be a little faster but I think I have seen some benchmarks where there is none to minimal gain from SATA SSD to PCI M.2. Remember this is for game loading times. You will even see that SSD compared to RAM disks there isn't much of a difference.

IMO it's not worth the premium right now if your only/main concern is gaming.
