I have been trying to fault find a friend's water-cooled PC for the last 3 days and finally have found out what the issue is but I can't understand why and whether getting a replacement will actually fix the issue.

So basically when the CPU waterblock is fitted which is an EK Supremacy Evo and I rurn the Pc o. the computer lights up the RGB keyboard also lights up fans work no errors or beeps but the screen reads No Display

Remove the waterblock and fit the Intel Stock fan and everything is absolutely fine powers up goes to the bios and will even launch windows of the SSD It's one of the most bizarre issues I've come across and can't think why.

Regards

The backplate needed to secure the waterblock in place is causing a grounding issue with the back of your case or is put on improperly. You should have seen a rubber/silicone gasket provided with your EK Supremacy EVO waterblock. There is also the possibility that the metal backplate is making contact with solder points at the back of your motherboard. Provided you've made sure coolant is circulating through your loop and you're not facing an overheating issue with poor CPU contact from the waterblock...?

Mind sharing your full system's specs with us inclusive of your OS?

What you said is what ended up being the issue even with the rubber gasket it was still shorting on the CPU backplate. I just put some masking tape over the 3 bolts just to see if that was the issue and it worked so as a more permanent fix I just put a small cut out of plastic behind the gasket to stop and metal to metal contact and it seemed to fix the issue.
