Hi guys.
My psu (cs750m) is doing some weird things. Whenever I connect anything to the sata/molex peripherals section on my psu it starts for a second and then turns off (no post).
I've checked with a multimeter and I think I'm only getting 7v on the 12v plugs. The psu is only suppose to have one rail though and don't understand how I am getting 12v on the pcie connecters.
If someone could add a little insight it would be helpful.
Thanks in advance!

Solution
About that 7v, make sure that when u check voltages from psu , check from Black - Yellow/ black - Red
Because RED - YELLOW will give 7v.

Hey there, canadianpanzer!

I'd strongly recommend you replace that power supply unit ASAP, things might actually get worse if you continue to use it in your system. Unfortunately, it's a pretty important hardware component and it might cause even more damage.
I'd also recommend you check all the connection inside your rig again and make sure you have plugged and mounted everything properly. Afterwards, test the PSU again and see if things have improved with the voltage.

Good luck!

Wow okay thanks, my friend gave me this supply and I was following the wires from the sata connector and checking the pins on the psu modular connector. Turns out he gave the wrong psu cables with the supply probably from his hx850. Thanks for that info didn't know that you get 7v that way :p
