Hello all,

I have an i7 6700k and I'm OC'd to 4.5MHz. However, this is my first time applying thermal paste myself, and I'm not sure if I used enough. I got a stable (preliminary tasting [Intel burn test]) OC of 4.5MHz with a vcore of 1.33 (set in bios) but I get a reading of 1.378V in HWMonitor. This is only an increase of about ~.05 and I read that the readings can range from .03-.06 so I should be okay in the vcore department.
However, I hit 77 degrees Celsius (package) with an H80i GT running at 90% fan speed and more than enough air flow in the case. Are these normal temperatures? Or did I not use enough thermal paste? I used Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste. I'm also using an Asus Hero VIII mobo.

Thanks!

under stress and with a middle of the pack liquid cooler these temps seem about right honestly. you don't need to worry with Skylake temps until you get around the 85C mark if you do hit this mark maybe time for a better cooler.

The temperatures seem high! About how to appy thermalpaste, just put some some in the center, at about the size of a pea http://www.wikihow.com/Apply-Thermal-Paste. From what i have researched this is the best way i use it myself!
