Hey guys! I'm building a gaming PC for a friend and surfing the market I came across these 2 options. His budget is 10k Argentinean pesos (650 U$D). Both combos cost the same. Which one should I get him? Thanks!

Solution
for cpu base use the 4440 haswell and a h81 or h97 mb. the haswell cpu will last him a long time before games will kill it. then get the best gpu he can for the money. the 780 or the 7970.
pick up haswell 4590 and a h97mb and the newest gpu he can get. the 900 or 1000 or amd poliars gpu when they drop in a few weeks. the two gpu you listed wont do the newer directx 12 games. you want a newer gpu as they use less power and are faster then the older gpu. haswell vs skylake the newer skylake only a little bit faster. you dont want to use the older ib cpu.

Thank you both for the answers!

@smorizio prices are pretty high for the 900 series GPUs here in Argentina atm due to import restrictions, and the price for the 1000 series is still unknown here, do you still recommend getting any of those? I can switch the skylake combo for a 4440 i5, would that suffice?

@gingerbread thanks for the suggestion! Would an i5 6500 + HD 7970 be enough for 1080p gaming? What other setup would you recommend? Thanks!
