My new gaming computer does not see the wired connection with the router,

This is the last stage of getting myself able to play Total War Warhammer. After buying the game and finding it did not work on my laptop, I went on online and bought a gaming computer, which arrived today, apart from the fact, I managed to load Windows 7 on it and spent hours setting it up.

I find myself not being able to get on to the router. The Computer has no wireless.

So I attached a lead from the Router into the back of the pc.
I did does not seem to see it?

This is the last hurdle and I can eventually play the game I really wish to play..
Please Help.

Its an FTS Gaming Computer.

what are the specs of new pc? Is this a laptop or a pc?

did you go to motherboard makers web site and download latest win 7 drivers for it? the ones on disc may not be newest and may not recognise mouse.

why didn't you get win 10? so much easier as it actually recognises USB 3 devices?

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer.
I cannot afford windows 10. New gaming computer + New monitor + keyboard etc..

The fault was with me in not downloading the drivers from the disc inside the Motherboard box.
I'm so used to laptops.
Everything is working fine now and at last Total War Hammer is downloading onto the computer as we speak.
