Hey guys,

I need a bit of advice, my little sisters computer has been overheating pretty regularly over the past 5 months.

and the reason for it overheating(despite buying 3 $20 buck fans) was because the coolers we were told to buy my our older sisters BF isnt rated for a 95w cpu.

and so, here is my question, would a higher end cpu cooler(before they came out with the newer cooler) from say a FX-6300 or a FX-8350 work with a FX-6100

Processor:

AMD 6100 6 core 3.3ghz

If you are thinking about new Wraith cooler, than yes, should be much better (and quieter) than old type. If you can't get it for near free there are many aftermarket coolers out there with same or even better performance and maybe cheaper.
