Hi everyone,

So I had an amd build on my pc which I have used for around 2 years but due to speed issues I decided to change my motherboard and switch from amd to intel. Everything went perfectly and I thought I would try out windows 10 for the first time (I've always used Windows 7) I installed a windows 10 trial and I didn't really like it, my sound was distorted I followed tons of tutorials to try and get it working but everyone was saying its a common problem for windows 10 to distort audio as the drivers are incompatible. So I decided to go back to Windows 7 I put the disc in the installation began and it has got stuck on the Starting Windows screen I have looked around and everyone says you want to go into bios boot from disc and restart the installation but my pc now doesn't seem to even be getting a connection from my keyboard I can't press any keys even though when I reboot there are options on screen to go back over to windows 10 and to esc etc etc but I can't do anything its all just stuck and unresponsive if anyone could help that would be great, thanks.

Solution
Are you on the Z170 chipset? Windows 7 does not support the Z170 USB controller or something so you have to patch it yourself or use a later version of Windows.
