This is perhaps an obvious question, but I'm preparing to do a linux install I want to unhook my other drives during the process just to be sure I don't accidently install / mess up other drives. Is it okay to simply unplug the sata and power connectors from from the hard drives and leave the sata connectors connected to the montherboard? Or is it better to unplug the sata connectors from both the hard drives and the motherboard sata ports? Also is there any issue using a power connection that is out of sequence, in a chained power connector, IE say the 4th one only, instead of first connector?

Thanks, just want to be safe
