I'm getting ready to build a new system and I'm stuck on what to do with the choice of a power supply. I know what I need but here's my problem. I have a 1000W OCZ ZX series psu from one of my older gaming computers. It works perfectly fine, I never had a problem with and it's fully modular which I need but since I'm sleeving the cables, its a huge pain since there are capacitor on a few of the wires making it difficult at time and I've read mixed reviews about OCZ, now Firepower, psu's being sub-par, but is this true?

My perspective build specs are i7 6700k, asus maximus viii formula, 32gb+ ddr4 ram, gtx 1080, ssd, 2x wd hdd, blueray drive.

I know a 1000w is overkill a bit but oh well. So people help me out here, should I keep my current psu and use it and save the $150 or so from a new psu to put toward watercooling?

I already sleeved and extended half of the 24pin cable but I stopped to get some input from here first

Solution
Im sure in reality yours would work ok, but if you wanted to know you have superior quality, capability and reliability, go the G2 series from EVGA
