HI, im running two gtx 980tis in sli mode. i was wondering what cables i need from the psu to the cards to give them power. this is my first time building a pc. i have an evega 850
will it work?

Solution
That power supply can power two 980TIs.
You have enough connector, just plug them in. Each 980TI requires a 8pin+ a 6pin. The G2 850 has 4x8 pins and 2x6pins. You do not need any extra cable.

Here is a link for your cable connections: http://www.nvidia.com/content/geforce-gtx/GTX_980_Ti_User_Guide.pdf

To determine your PSU requirement, please list your system specs as some CPUs have differing TDP draw. You also have to account for future expansion, peripherals and extra fans you may wish to consider. The most important part of your system is the PSU besides the MB. A PSU with gold or platinum certification and slightly above min requirement is the best way to go for peace of mind and longevity.

so basically i have a 8 pin cable for the first 8 inputs. but for the other portion (the 6 pin) i have this strange 6 pin cable that splits out the back into another six pin.
is that okay to use? or do i have to buy a single 6 pin?
