On Windows 8.1 my Windows Hot Key (with the 4 boxes logo) is no longer working. It should pop up the Start menu but doesn't. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Please let us know what system you have. Make and model or, if homemade, key parts. Especially the keyboard. The most likely explanation for a single-key failure is that the key is bad. My keyboard has a right and a left Windows key; if yours does, please try the other key.
