do you overclock the base clock or the boost clock on a gpu

Solution
It ends up being both. In general what you do is move the offset further up, so both base and boost get shifted up, but available boost usually ends up being smaller.

Hello,

You can't edit the boost clock. I don't know in what app or program you saw an option to edit the boost clock. Boost clock only applies in the factory state. And in the factory state, Base clock is the lowest clock and Boost clock is the max clock your graphic card can hit.

When you manually overclock it. Boost clock becomes irrelevant. Both boost clock and base clock become your new adjusted clock speed. Then there's only one clock speed and that's the one you adjusted manually.

And please do research if you are new to overclocking GPU.

Good Luck :)
