Hello everyone,

So next year I will be a senior in high school and thus it is time for me to begin planning how to bring my PC gaming life with me to college. I am currently selling my old desktop and I hope to get around $700-$800 for it. Also, over the summer I have landed a job that will pay me around $1,300 after taxes. So my question is this: With the $2,000 I will have at the end of the summer, should I buy a gaming laptop (razer or something) or should I build a small form gaming PC?

I am leaning towards building the PC, but in that case what parts should I buy in order to make it small and powerful at the same time without bottlenecking anything? I would like to use the gtx 1080 if possible.

Then you are better with a laptop. Asus is going to showcase a laptop with GTX 1080m on June 8 or 9 at Computex Event. I think you can grab that if it gets available around the end of summer. Good luck ;)

Sorry, I failed to mention that I already have keybord/mouse and a BenQ 24" monitor that I am not selling right now. The colleges I am looking at are mostly either a trainride away or a drive away so I could put the monitor and PC in the backseat and sit with them to make sure nothing breaks.
