Hello everyone i have a dekstop running windows 7 professional, now i do not know why but today when i turned on the pc , it will not boot up: the "starting windows" logo apeears but from there the screen just goes blank

any way to boot it and save all my data?? thanks for the helpers!
 
Solution
You could boot from an install or repair disc and do a repair to see if that will work. If it doesn't, I use Linux Mint in these cases. You can download it from here: https://linuxmint.com/download.php , then burn the ISO to a DVD. You can boot from the DVD and be up and running in under 4 minutes without having to install anything. It has a user interface very similar to Windows so you don't have to know anything about Linux. It's a great tool to have in your toolbox. Of course a full system backup to an external hard would be the best, but I know some folks think that would give them leprosy. :D
