First of all hello tomshardware community,, how are you all? Today, i'm gonna tell my problem . Plz help me. I recently upgrade my cpu to amd fx 8320 which was I purchased from online . My specification is amd fx 8320 . Msi gtx oc nvidia 760 2gb . 8 gb hyper fury 1866mhz ram . My problem is a cpu temprature . My idle cpu temperature is 40 but when i play games like gta v fallout 4 it rise up to 70 to 75 degree celsius. And my gpu idle temprature is 45 and after playing heavy games it go up to max 84 . And never rise above from 84. My cabinet is very hot after playing demanding games. I want to know that ,, is it normal?

Solution
No, it's not normal. Although AMD has a reputation for running "hotter", that usually with OC'd chips (especially the FX-95xx series) & their GPUs...& even then, any OC'd CPU (Intel or AMD) is going to run hotter than normal.

First off, when you say cabinet, do you mean your tower is located inside a cabinet in a computer desk? If so, then your problem might be airflow related. Make sure the cabinet door is open (especially when gaming), & if possible remove the back panel from the cabinet to allow air to flow more freely. Also, check to see if your case will allow for additional case fans to be installed. They're fairly cheap ($5-20 depending on model), & can help any system run cooler by increasing the rate of airflow into...
'' it go up to max 84 '' ?? on that AMD chip ?? seems to me it would be throttling like he11 shutting things down at that temp ?

try another monitor like amd overdrive or hwinfo64

with a stock cooler they just can do any knida of proper job over office type useage may try to reset the cooler with fresh paste ? check fan profiles to see if the fan is keeping up as the chip temp rises /

65c max is what you want to shoot for

More cool air into the case/more hot air blown out of the case = cooler CPU & GPU.
