System with X9DBL-3F motherboard will boot just fine with generic USB 3.0 card installed. However this card does not support the USB 3.0 ports on the front of the Supermicro SC732D4 case. When I replace the USB card with a Vantec UGT-PC345 USB 3.0 card the boot process hangs with "System wait IPMI initialization" on the monitor. If I pull the Vantec card out and put the generic USB card back in the system boots just fine.

How do I resolve this issue?

Solution
1| Can you please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of your OS and connected peripherals?
2| Have you tried populating the PCI-E add on card on every PCI-E slot to see if the issue is not with your slots/lanes or the card itself?
3| Have you made sure your BIOS is up to date?
4| Is the other add on card running off power from the PCI-E slot or does it require a molex power to feed into it? If the card taht works doesn't need power then the issue may be due tot eh fact that the card is adding +5v to your system which seen on another thread was preventing a system from powering up. It could also be that you're suffering from:
a| a grounding issue with your chassis.
b| the PSU isn't capable of powering...

b| the PSU isn't capable of powering anymore devices.
c| the system has run out of lanes to allocate to your devices.

Have you tried the culprit card on another functioning system to rule out the card isn't faulty...?
