GPU: gtx 960
CPU: Amd FX-8350 Black Edition
PSU: 600 W

I think I'm going to buy the new gtx 1070 when it comes out and I don't want to bottleneck my cpu. My cpu is at stock GHz (4.0) and I hear that the 1070 will probably bottleneck with a lot of games. What will I have to OC it to so most games will run smooth. I have a 212 cool master cpu cooler and it stays pretty cool. So I have some wiggle room with temps. Thanks -marcus

Solution
Most of the games that get a harsh beating due to AMD's poor single-threaded IPC are poor ports or exceptionally CPU-intensive titles. For more typical PC games, the FX8350 should still be decent.

How much of a bottleneck the CPU is heavily variable on a game-by-game basis.

There is no upgrade path for that CPU, unless you change the motherboard and RAM as well.

I think he meant just a totally new CPU, motherboard, and RAM setup.

At least 4690k? Not everyone has ~$300 to put down on a CPU + aftermarket heatsink and very few games are anywhere near that demanding. The vast majority of current and foreseeable future games will be perfectly cozy on a $200 i5-6500 with stock HSF and H170-based motherboard if SLI/CF is a never. That's what I would put in my PC if I had to build a new one before Kaby comes out, which may be about two to three months from now.

The 4690k comes very close to the Titan X. That means it'd need a powerful CPU to run it, which the 4690k would be a perfect choice for. If you're gonna buy an expensive card, you gotta factor in the extra costs so it'll run and run well.
